In creating Rare Candy, our goal has always been to build something much bigger than a marketplace. Today, we’re excited to announce a set of major new features for Pokémon cards that make collecting together easier and more fun than ever.
Card Scanning and Pricing Information
We’ve built a lightning-fast card scanner that uses AI image recognition to provide the most accurate results every time you scan. Our scanner recognizes both English and Japanese Pokémon cards — and if you scan cards graded by PSA, CGC, BGS or TAG, your slab’s grading information will be automatically included. You can quickly scan card after card to upload even the thickest binders into your collection, and we’ve made it easy to quickly rotate through different card versions and so you can always identify each card’s exact details.
Once you’ve scanned a card, you’ll see real-time third-party pricing data wherever it’s available. Whether you’re out at a card shop, browsing a convention or making a trade with a friend, you can quickly and easily scan a card to see guidelines for its value and feel confident in the decisions you make for your collection.
Profile and Community Feed
The thrill of finding a great card is incredible — but as anyone who’s spent time at a local game store or card conventions knows, collecting becomes so much more fun when you can share that excitement with people who understand it. That’s why we’ve launched new social features that help you connect with a fun, supportive community of Pokémon fans and collectors at every stage of your TCG journey.
Keep track of your whole collection in one place with new expressive profiles that let you show off your favorite cards and your personality. Once you’ve scanned a card, you can easily add it to your collection or wishlist on your profile. It’s also easy to sort and arrange your collection so your profile looks exactly how you want—and you can quickly see how many cards you have and a total estimate for their value.
Share your exciting pulls and favorite moments with friends and a worldwide community of collectors and creators through our community feed. You can join in weekly challenges that let you revisit your collection and share it in new ways. And from day one, we’re thrilled to welcome top and emerging collector-creators like Leonhart, DeepPocketMonster, Austin Evans, PokiLegends, ProfessorFelicia, Stieven and more!
