10. Acerola's Mischief (Special Illustration Rare) – $31.58

  • Rarity: Special Illustration Rare (SIR)

  • Card Number: #183/132

Acerola's Mischief SIR - Mega Evolution #183

The card art goes deep into purples and warm shimmer, with Acerola at the center of a swirl of ghostly plushies and costumes and that signature smirk front and center. Trainer SIRs in this set have all earned their spots, and the fan-favorite Acerola is the most affordable of the group.

9. Mega Absol ex (Special Illustration Rare) – $54.83

  • Rarity: Special Illustration Rare (SIR)

  • Card Number: #180/132

Mega Absol ex SIR - Mega Evolution #180

Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated this one, and it plays exactly to Mega Absol's strengths. The white feathered wings stretch across most of the card against a near-black background, giving Mega Absol an almost Batman-esque pose. Arita always brings his A-game to whatever card he's working on, and Absol is no stranger to incredible card art.

8. Mega Kangaskhan ex (Special Illustration Rare) – $62.52

  • Rarity: Special Illustration Rare (SIR)

  • Card Number: #182/132

Mega Kangaskhan ex SIR - Mega Evolution #182

GOTO minori drew this from below, which gives the card a sense of scale making Mega Kangaskhan appear larger than life. Mega Kangaskhan and her joey are blased against a backdrop of cartoony and vibrant colors making this art pop. Kangaskhan was one of the original Mega Evolutions from the XY era, and also an original Kanto Pokémon, giving this card the new-form and nostalgia double whammy.

7. Mega Latias ex (Special Illustration Rare) – $75.25

  • Rarity: Special Illustration Rare (SIR)

  • Card Number: #181/132

Mega Latias ex SIR - Mega Evolution #181

AKIRA EGAWA puts Mega Latias over a city skyline at night, the bright glow of the buildings below cutting against a deep navy sky with streaks hinting at the speed this Mega Pokémon can attain. Latias is one of the more beloved Legendaries in the franchise, and giving it's Mega form a solid card was the right choice.

6. Lillie's Determination (Special Illustration Rare) – $80.60

  • Rarity: Special Illustration Rare (SIR)

  • Card Number: #184/132

Lillie's Determination SIR - Mega Evolution #184

Lillie typically shows up in softer, lifestyle-inspired artwork, so this card has a noticeably different energy. This card showcases the longstanding fan-favorite trainer in the middle of a glowing field of flowers and warmth. Trainer SIRs in Mega Evolution have been some of the most consistent performers in the set, and Lillie leads that group.

5. Mega Venusaur ex (Special Illustration Rare) – $122.11

  • Rarity: Special Illustration Rare (SIR)

  • Card Number: #177/132

Mega Venusaur ex SIR - Mega Evolution #177

This SIR is part of a connected scene, with matching Bulbasaur and Ivysaur cards that slot alongside it to form one full image. The whole card is teals and vibrant pinks, with Mega Venusaur centered and taking up most of the frame. Starter SIRs have always carried collector premiums, and Venusaur's spot as one of the original three gives this one real staying power.

4. Mega Lucario ex (Special Illustration Rare) – $158.99

  • Rarity: Special Illustration Rare (SIR)

  • Card Number: #179/132

Mega Lucario ex SIR - Mega Evolution #179

This is Mega Lucario's SIR, and it's the first of two appearances for the Pokémon on this list. Atsushi Furusawa takes an aerial perspective here, red-and-blue action lines cutting across the frame over a city backdrop of battling Pokémon while it fights a Mega Venusaur as well. The kinetic energy in the art matches what Mega Lucario brings as a card, and at over $150 it's the most accessible way to add a chase of the set's top Pokémon to your collection.

3. Mega Gardevoir ex (Special Illustration Rare) – $173.71

  • Rarity: Special Illustration Rare (SIR)

  • Card Number: #178/132

Mega Gardevoir ex SIR - Mega Evolution #178

Raita Kazama did something with this one that we've begun to see with each set in the Mega Evolution era: the entire evolution line is in the frame. Ralts, Kirlia, and Gardevoir are all present, and the card looks more like a portrait of a journey than a battle scene. Gardevoir has one of the deepest collector followings in the franchise, and this SIR captures exactly why. Like Lucario, this isn't the last time Mega Gardevoir ex shows up on this list.

2. Mega Gardevoir ex (Mega Hyper Rare) – $219.89

  • Rarity: Mega Hyper Rare (MHR)

  • Card Number: #187/132

Mega Gardevoir ex MHR - Mega Evolution #187

The Mega Hyper Rare version of Mega Gardevoir ex is one of only two MHR cards in the entire set. This new rarity's full gold treatment covers the entire card, and at 1 in 2,520 packs for this specific print, most collectors are going straight to singles rather than hunting for it in packs. The $200+ market price reflects how rarely this card actually surfaces. If you're building a Gardevoir collection and want that one display piece, this is it.

1. Mega Lucario ex (Mega Hyper Rare) – $280.04

  • Rarity: Master Hyper Rare (MHR)

  • Card Number: #188/132

Mega Lucario ex MHR - Mega Evolution #188

The top card on this list comes with a record attached: a Mega Hyper Rare pull rate of 1 in 1,260 packs, the hardest ever seen in modern Pokémon TCG, and with only two MHR cards in the set, the odds of pulling this specific one sit at roughly 1 in 2,520. Like the Gardevoir above, the gold foil covers the entire card and the border both, giving Mega Lucario ex a look that no SIR in the set can really replicate. At $275+ on Rare Candy right now, and with pull rates this extreme, this card is not getting easier to find. With one of, if not the hardest pull rate we've ever seen, this Mega Lucario ex will remain a chase card for the foreseeable future.

Final Thoughts

Mega Evolution is a set defined by two Pokémon so dominant each one claims two spots on this list. The Mega Hyper Rare tier introduced a level of scarcity that shifted how collectors think about single-card pricing, and the SIR lineup is one of the strongest in the Scarlet and Violet era. Whether you're chasing a gold card or building around the SIRs, this is a set with real depth at every price point. Could we see another set introduce a rarity tier that changes the market the way MHR did here? That's a high bar to clear.
