1998 Pikachu Holo Illustrator Pokémon Japanese Promo PSA 8
Description
The Pokémon Japanese Pikachu Illustrator card is one of the rarest and most sought-after Pokémon cards in the world. Originally awarded as a prize in 1998 through an illustration contest held by CoroCoro Comic in Japan, this card was given exclusively to a select few winners, making it incredibly scarce. Featuring artwork by Pikachu’s original designer, Atsuko Nishida, the card shows Pikachu holding drawing utensils and is unique in that it is the only Pokémon card labeled as “Illustrator” rather than “Trainer.” Because of its rarity, age, and significance in Pokémon history, the Pikachu Illustrator card commands some of the highest prices in the collectibles market in auctions, especially in mint condition. For many collectors, it represents the ultimate prize due to its iconic status and connection to the origins of Pokémon card art.
