10. Blastoise #2 – $10.67

  • Classic Collection

  • Card Number: #2/102

Celebrations Blastoise

While all of our list aside from one card comes from the Classic Collection line in Celebrations, it's no surprise that Blastoise makes it into the top ten Celebrations chase cards with this Base Set reprint. While it may not have the staying power and allure of a Charizard, it remains one of the most iconic starters of all time.

9. Zekrom #114 – $14.02

  • Rarity: Classic Collection

  • Card Number: #114/114

Zekrom Celebrations

With the recent success of Black Bolt & White Flare, as well as Zekrom's popularity as a whole, this reprint from the Black & White era was sure to be a popular chase card. The original artwork somewhat laid the groundwork for the Zekrom BWR from Black Bolt!

8. Reshiram #113 – $14.48

  • Rarity: Classic Collection

  • Card Number: #113/114

Reshiram Celebrations

Unlike with Black Bolt & White Flare where the Zekrom BWR is far more valuable than the Reshiram BWR, we have Reshiram taking the lead over it's box art legendary counterpart with its Celebrations Classic Collection reprint from Black & White Base.

7. Mew ex #88 – $14.83

  • Rarity: Classic Collection

  • Card Number: #88/92

Mew ex Celebrations

Another entry from the Classic Collection line, we have the Mew ex which is a reprint of the highly sought-after EX Legend Maker version. Mew being a fan-favorite mythical will always play a role in its popularity, and while Celebrations cards are still affordable, it makes a solid alternative to the more expensive Mew chase cards like the Paldean Fates Bubble Mew.

6. Shining Magikarp #66 – $31.04

  • Rarity: Classic Collection

  • Card Number: #66/64

Shining Magikarp Celebrations

A huge fan-favorite, the Shining Magikarp reprint from Neo Revelation brings the nostalgia of some of the earliest secret rare chasing in English Pokémon history. Some may say the Gyarados would've been better suited for the Classic Collection, but the Magikarp has earned its place on this list!

5. _____'s Pikachu #24 – $32.56

  • Rarity: Classic Collection

  • Card Number: #24

_____ Pikachu Celebrations

One of the most beloved Black Star Promos of all time we have a reprint of the original Birthday Pikachu taking the number five spot. Originally, you could only get this card by filling out a Create-a-Card template and mail it in. This card shows that Celebrations did a great job including cards from the entire history of the TCG.

4. Mega Rayquaza-EX #76 – $40.79

  • Rarity: Classic Collection

  • Card Number: #76/108

Ray Ray Celebrations

Another legendary addition to the list, we also venture into the Mega Evolution realm with the Mega Rayquaza-EX! A reprint of one of the many Mega Rayquaza cards in XY Roaring Skies, it may not be the top chase in the set, but it's still a very strong card to hold the number four spot!

3. Mew #25 – $48.04

  • Rarity: Secret Rare

  • Card Number: #025/025

Gold Mew Celebrations

Taking the number three spot is the only card on this list that is not part of the Classic Collection line. The Gold Shiny Mew brings the appearance of a top chase card combining the prestigious looking gold background and the rarity of a shiny mythical!

2. Umbreon #17 - $76.48

  • Rarity: Classic Collection

  • Card Number: #17/17

Umbreon Celebrations

One of the quintessential chase Pokémon taking the number two spot is no surprise, especially when you consider an English Gold Star Umbreon from POP Series 5 has been bringing in prices of $30,000+ in a PSA 10!

1. Charizard #4 – $133.30

  • Rarity: Classic Collection

  • Card Number: #4/102

Celebrations Zard

Of course it wouldn't be a set celebrating the history of the Pokémon TCG if it didn't feature the original Base Set Charizard! The chase card that started it all stands above the rest as the top Celebrations chase card. With iconic artwork from Mitsuhiro Arita and the strongest staying power in the hobby, it's no wonder this card has been reprinted several times throughout history.

Final Thoughts

With the thirtieth anniversary fast approaching, look for these cards to see a bump in value. We saw the same thing with Generations when Celebrations released. It may be worth picking these cards up now instead of waiting for the hype to arrive.
