Series: Sword & Shield
Fusion Strike Release Date: November 12, 2021
Set Abbreviation: FST
Fusion Strike was known for two things: incredible chases and brutal hit rates, gaining it the nickname “Fusion Strikeout.” While it may have been hard to get the top chase cards in the set, pulling them was definitely worth it. We're nearing the four-year anniversary of the set, so let's look at the top 10 Fusion Strike chase cards by value.
10. Mew V (Full Art) – $25.65
Rarity: Ultra Rare
Card Number: #250/264

Kicking off our list is our first Mew card. The Mew V Full Art is a nice, affordable full-art card that blends blues and pinks for a nice contrast, making it an eye-catching addition to any collector's binder!
9. Genesect V (Alternate Full Art) – $29.73
Rarity: Ultra Rare
Card Number: #255/264

This Alternate Art Genesect showcases the vibe we've come to know and love from cards like this. A lifestyle shot of the Pokémon breakdancing for an entertained Smeargle showcases a fun-loving and lighthearted personality, vastly different from its usual aggressive nature.
8. Inteleon VMAX (Alternate Art Rare) – $35.42
Rarity: Secret Rare
Card Number: #266/264

Our first VMAX card on the list features the sly starter, Inteleon. This card showcases Inteleon's Gigantamax form, which, despite creating its own sniper perch to be stealthy, ends up taking up quite a bit of space. It looks cool regardless.
7. Gengar VMAX (Ultra Rare) – $37.42
Rarity: Ultra Rare
Card Number: #157/264

Next up, we have our first appearance of everyone's favorite Ghost Pokémon, Gengar. Like the previous card with Inteleon, this card also showcases Gengar in its Gigantamax form, opening up its gullet to consume everything around it!
6. Mew VMAX (Secret) – $56.17
Rarity: Secret Rare
Card Number: #268/264

Another Mew on our list, this time in its Gigantamax form and in the Rainbow Rare style. A simple design featuring the mythical fan favorite with a rainbow finish that became synonymous with the Sword & Shield era.
5. Celebi V (Alternate Full Art) – $64.75
Rarity: Ultra Rare
Card Number: #245/264

Celebi might be the only other mythical Pokémon to give Mew a run for its money as a fan favorite. This card, being an Alternate Art, gives off a whimsical winter wonderland vibe, with Celebi flying through a snowy courtyard and leaving a trail of glimmering light in its wake.
4. Mew V (Alternate Full Art) – $124.71
Rarity: Ultra Rare
Card Number: #251/264

Our third Mew to be featured among the top Fusion Strike chase cards brings us back to the Alternate Full Art style. This Mew, however, is flanked by several other Pokémon, including what I can only assume is the same Smeargle from the Genesect V at number nine.
3. Mew VMAX (Alternate Art Secret) – $256.95
Rarity: Secret Rare
Card Number: #269/264

At number three, we have the last Mew on our list. This Mew VMAX Alternate Art Secret Rare once again shows its Gigantamax form, this time causing a bit of chaos using its psychic powers to lift buses, phone booths, and more.
2. Espeon VMAX (Alternate Art Secret) – $338.21
Rarity: Secret Rare
Card Number: #270/264

Our only Eeveelution on the list takes the number two spot. Eeveelutions kind of took over Evolving Skies, so it's no surprise we don't see many in this set. Espeon, in its Gigantamax form, sleeps soundly on a village rooftop, giving a cozy vibe.
1. Gengar VMAX (Alternate Art Secret) - $765.35
Rarity: Secret Rare
Card Number: #271/264

Our number one Fusion Strike chase card, of course, had to be the Gengar VMAX. What separates this card from the one earlier on the list is the stunning, almost children’s book–like design of the artwork. Gengar is still devouring every food source in sight, but this time with a little whimsy.

Final Thoughts
At this point, no matter what your favorite card from Fusion Strike might be, it's probably best to pick up singles. Yes, that means the Gengar, too. Sealed Fusion Strike product is incredibly hard to find, and even if you do, the likelihood of pulling any specific card in this set is very slim. Pick up singles if you want these cards.
