Twilight Masquerade may be one of the top Pokémon TCG sets of the entire Scarlet & Violet era in terms of card art and storytelling. With Ogerpon as the mascot of the set, it’s hard not to notice the stark contrast with Shrouded Fable, which leaned more toward the competitive side.
Here are the current top Twilight Masquerade chase cards, ranked by their latest market values.

Series: Scarlet & Violet
Twilight Masquerade Release Date: May 24, 2024
Set Abbreviation: TWM
Honorable Mention: Tatsugiri (Illustration Rare) – $19.78

Card Number: #186/167
Rarity: Illustration Rare
One of the most likable cards in all of Twilight Masquerade, Tatsugiri’s pop-art style and vibrant colors earn it an honorable mention, as it’s both an affordable hit and a great piece for any raw or graded Pokémon card collection.
10. Sinistcha ex (Special Illustration Rare) – $21.44

Card Number: #210/167
Rarity: Special Illustration Rare
We kick off the top ten chase cards with Sinistcha ex, and we’re already seeing stories woven into this Pokémon's card art. Sinistcha is known for creeping up on people to steal their life force, although in this illustration it appears more curious than malevolent, keeping a keen eye on an unnamed figure browsing a photo album in the attic.
9. Teal Mask Ogerpon ex (Special Illustration Rare) – $21.22

Card Number: #211/167
Rarity: Special Illustration Rare
Teal Mask Ogerpon is the overall mascot Pokémon of Twilight Masquerade, but beyond its overwhelmingly vibrant green artwork, Teal Mask Ogerpon ex has seen significant gameplay in the Pokémon TCG since the set’s release thanks to its energy-ramping ability and the stacking damage of its Myriad Leaf Shower attack.
8. Chansey (Illustration Rare) – $23.76

Card Number: #187/167
Rarity: Illustration Rare
Chansey’s artwork is more whimsical and cartoony than some others on this list, but the message is clear: it’s just trying its best to help. Illustrator Aoki captures an adorable scene of a Chansey stumbling mid-spill while delivering boxes through a Pokémon Center, with other Pokémon looking on.
7. Kieran (Special Illustration Rare) – $24.01

Card Number: #218/167
Rarity: Special Illustration Rare
Our first Trainer card on the list, Kieran, perfectly captures the vibe of The Teal Mask expansion in the Scarlet & Violet game. The artwork depicts a scene straight out of the Festival of Masks, complete with candied apples, Pikachu and Ogerpon masks, and a beautifully lit nighttime aesthetic.
6. Lana's Aid (Special Illustration Rare) – $24.99

Card Number: #219/167
Rarity: Special Illustration Rare
Lana’s Aid is something of a sleeper card if you really think about it. The artwork is fun and cartoony, showing the Trainer interacting with a variety of Water-type Pokémon. But beyond the art, there’s also a competitive element: this card allows you to return up to three Pokémon without a Rule Box from your discard pile to your hand, helping you regain lost evolution potential.
5. Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex (Special Illustration Rare) – $37.48

Card Number: #216/167
Rarity: Special Illustration Rare
Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex serves as the secondary mascot of Twilight Masquerade. The artwork for this card tones down the ominous and ferocious nature of the Peat Pokémon, instead opting for a slice-of-life feeling as it channels its inner Winnie the Pooh. With artwork like this, it's no wonder it kicks off the top 5 of our Twilight Masquerade chase cards list.
4. Eevee (Illustration Rare) – $57.20

Card Number: #188/167
Rarity: Illustration Rare
Quite possibly most people's top Twilight Masquerade chase card, even if it’s not the most valuable, Eevee is nonetheless the most valuable Illustration Rare in the set. Its cozy, warm art style, featuring eight Eevee lounging in and around a chair with sunlight streaming through the window, gives this card its undeniable charm.
3. Carmine (Special Illustration Rare) – $70.06

Card Number: #217/167
Rarity: Special Illustration Rare
Carmine kicks off our top three with a style somewhat similar to the previously listed Kieran, which makes sense since they are siblings. She is shown enjoying snacks from the Festival of Masks, and despite her sometimes-cold demeanor in the games, she shows warmth in this card.
2. Perrin (Special Illustration Rare) – $93.73

Card Number: #220/167
Rarity: Special Illustration Rare
Like the other Trainers, Perrin’s card tells a story. It features a natural backdrop perfect for photography and, of course, the little hidden gem of her Hisuian Growlithe in the lens—part of a connected card artwork that many fans have come to love.
1. Greninja ex (Special Illustration Rare) – $327.17

Card Number: #214/167
Rarity: Special Illustration Rare
Greninja ex barged onto the scene as the undisputed top chase of Twilight Masquerade from the day the set launched. With its single-energy Shinobi Blade allowing players to both search for cards and deal big damage, it’s no wonder that when you combine its competitive prowess in the Pokémon TCG with the vibrant orange splash-art backdrop, you get one of the most valuable cards of the Scarlet & Violet era, one that continues to rise in value.

Final Thoughts
Twilight Masquerade introduced incredible hits and beautiful artwork, setting the tone for the back half of Scarlet & Violet. It was followed by the always-valuable Surging Sparks as well as Stellar Crown, which may not feature wildly expensive hits but do emphasize storytelling. It could be argued that no set in this era tells a better story than Twilight Masquerade.
