10. Sylveon V - $198.08
Set: Sword & Shield: Evolving Skies
Card Number: 184/203
Rarity: Alternate Art Ultra Rare
Sylveon stands in a bakery holding a cupcake, and the whole card is warm red and pink. It's sweet and a little silly, and that's why it works. Sylveon is the Fairy-type Eevee evolution, and this is one of the friendliest cards in the set.
9. Espeon V - $238.79
Set: Sword & Shield: Evolving Skies
Card Number: 180/203
Rarity: Alternate Art Ultra Rare
Espeon curls up on a chair in a cozy library packed with books and glowing lanterns. It's the coziest card in Evolving Skies. Espeon has been a fan-favorite since Gold and Silver, and this is the best card it has ever had in the Sword and Shield era.
8. Glaceon VMAX - $307.86
Set: Sword & Shield: Evolving Skies
Card Number: 209/203
Rarity: Alternate Art Secret Rare
Glaceon glows in bright icy blue in front of a snowy lake, with a tiny Pikachu and Marill hanging out in the corners. It's a big, beautiful card. This is the first of the Eeveelution VMAX cards on the list.
7. Umbreon V - $378.95
Set: Sword & Shield: Evolving Skies
Card Number: 189/203
Rarity: Alternate Art Ultra Rare
Our first Umbreon, and a big one is coming at #1. Umbreon sits on an old stone wall in a quiet town at night, with a lantern glowing behind it. It's moody and simple. It's also the V version of the card at the top, which makes it a great pair.
6. Leafeon VMAX - $381.74
Set: Sword & Shield: Evolving Skies
Card Number: 205/203
Rarity: Alternate Art Secret Rare
Leafeon rolls a hay bale across a sunny golden field, and the whole scene feels like a good day on a farm. It's a happy card with a lot of green. Leafeon doesn't get as much love as Umbreon, but this card is a favorite with Grass-type fans.
5. Sylveon VMAX - $384.06
Set: Sword & Shield: Evolving Skies
Card Number: 212/203
Rarity: Alternate Art Secret Rare
Now we're getting into the real chase cards for Evolving Skies. Sylveon floats through a pastel pink town with a little Eevee peeking in from the side. It's the VMAX version of the cupcake Sylveon at #10, and it sells for a lot more.
4. Rayquaza V - $480.92
Set: Sword & Shield: Evolving Skies
Card Number: 194/203
Rarity: Alternate Art Ultra Rare
Rayquaza circles through a bright blue sky while a trainer watches from below. Rayquaza has been the sky guardian of Hoenn since Ruby and Sapphire, and this set was built around it. It's our first Rayquaza, and the VMAX is right behind.
3. Dragonite V - $505.93
Set: Sword & Shield: Evolving Skies
Card Number: 192/203
Rarity: Alternate Art Ultra Rare
Atsushi Furusawa drew Dragonite floating through the clouds with its eyes closed and a big smile on its face. It's one of the happiest cards in the game. Dragonite is a Kanto favorite, and it's a nice break from all the serious Eeveelution cards around it.
2. Rayquaza VMAX - $1,278.52
Set: Sword & Shield: Evolving Skies
Card Number: 218/203
Rarity: Alternate Art Secret Rare
Rayquaza coils through a misty green mountain range with a glowing pink outline. It's the second most valuable card in Evolving Skies, and it's the card that made the set a dragon lover's dream. Only one card in the set sells for more.
1. Umbreon VMAX - $2,264.70
Set: Sword & Shield: Evolving Skies
Card Number: 215/203
Rarity: Alternate Art Secret Rare
Fans call it "Moonbreon", and it's the undisputed top pull in Evolving Skies. Umbreon perches on top of a steeple at night under a giant glowing moon. It's one of the most chased cards of the whole Sword and Shield era, and nothing else on this list comes close.
Final Thoughts
Evolving Skies came by its name honestly, with Eeveelutions and dragons filling every spot on the list. Almost every card here is an Alternate Art, and Umbreon leads by a wide margin.
